Bernard J. Choinski, 81, of Decker, passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 27, 2018 at Courtney Manor.

Bernard was born on June 14, 1936 in Warren, Michigan to the late Ben and Elvine Choinski.

He retired from General Motors Automotive.  Bernard enjoyed farming vegetables, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

On September 13, 2004, he married Pamela J. (Bensinger) Grifka.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Pamela Choinski of Decker; his children: Cheryl Baldwin and her husband, Gary, of Jackson, Michigan; Jerome Choinski and his wife, Donna, of Shelby, Michigan; Sandy Budzin and her husband, Mike of Hazel Park, Michigan; Karen Anderson and her husband, Gary, of Parma, Michigan and Glenn Choinski and his wife, Gail of Allenton, Michigan; his step-children, Robert Grifka and his wife, Julie and Carmen Doyle and her husband, Chris, all of Ubly, Michigan.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brother Ed Choinski and sisters, Joyce and Violet along with several nieces and nephews.

Per Bernard's wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan.
