Barbara Ann Dukelow Kritzman, age 70, of Bad Axe, passed away on July 9, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Barb was born in Bad Axe on April 6, 1955, to Richard and Sophia

Dukelow. A farm girl her entire life, she was known for her incredible

ability to fix and build just about anything-a true example of resilience

and self-reliance.

After graduating from Bad Axe High School in 1973, Barb began a

career in physical therapy at Huron Memorial Hospital (now

McLaren), where she touched the lives of many with her care and

compassion.

She shared 32 years with her partner, Brad Bair, with whom she

raised Aussiedoodles that found homes worldwide. Brad preceeded

her in death on May 22, 2021.

Later, Barb reunited with her high school sweetheart, Michael

Kritzman. They were married on January 29, 2024, and looked

forward to a long and joyful life together.

Barb loved the outdoors and spending time in nature. She found

happiness in hunting, raising her Australian Shepherds, riding Harley-

Davidsons, and working with her horses.

Barb is survived by her husband, Michael Kritzman, her daughter,

Kimberly Duggan Merchant, and her two grandchildren, Audrey and

Liam Merchant. Barb's surviving three brothers are Thomas Dukelow,

James (Mingli) Dukelow, and Michael (Kathleen) Dukelow, sister-in-

law, Ningmas Dukelow, and several nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sophia

Dukelow, and her brother Richard Dukelow.

Visitation and prayer service for Barbara Ann Dukelow Kritzman will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, with visitation from 1:00-3:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 3:00 PM.

In place of flowers, contributions may be made to McLaren Thumb Hospice.
