Arthur W. Tibbits, 84, of Hume Township, passed away on October 27, 2021 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Art was born at the family farm on December 10, 1936 to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Asher) Tibbits.

He married Marlene Ann Elliott on December 27, 1958 at the Kinde Presbyterian Church.  They were married for 57 years.  She preceded him in death on September 5, 2016.

Art loved to travel with Marlene, selling their wood crafts at shows.  He enjoyed hunting, bowling in leagues at Biff's Bowling Bar, playing softball, racing snowmobiles and racing cars at Owendale Speedway.

Arthur is survived by his children: Diane (Gary) Clark of Caro; Dale Tibbits of Caro; Karen (Larry) Clark of Filion; Mike (Donna) Tibbits of Clinton Twp.; Dave Tibbits (special friend, Jenn) of Kinde; Don (Laura) Tibbits of Pigeon, Ed (Tricia) Tibbits of Kinde and Bill (Tina) Tibbits of Lapeer; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers: James "Sam" Tibbits and his wife, Rita, of Kinde and Robert Tibbits of Saginaw and his beloved dog, Gizmo.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Linda Tibbits.

Funeral services for Art will be 7 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde with Pastor Bob Tibbits officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m.
