MacAlpine Funeral Homes & Cremation Services provides support for families

BAD AXE - MacAlpine Funeral Homes & Cremation Services offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of the families they serve in the greater Huron County area. In this age of cell phones, emails and instant messaging, can you imagine a movement that’s based on encouraging families to actually have face-to-face communications?

Well, that’s the premise behind the “Have the Talk of a Lifetime” campaign. It’s a national effort that’s designed to motivate people to talk with loved ones about life, what matters to them and what they value most. It’s a cause we fully support here at MacAlpine Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Not only can these discussions help families remember their heritage, but also begin to decide how they wish to remember and honor the lives of their loved ones when the time comes.

Sitting down with parents and other relatives to talk about their lives can be rich and satisfying for all involved. It can reacquaint us with our loved ones and help us to get to know them in a new and different way. It can help bring us closer to those we care about most.

The perfect time to have these conversations is at family gatherings during the upcoming season of family reunions. Our funeral home has more information about this program on our website, and we offer a brochure that will help people begin a conversation about life and the one-of-a-kind lives our loved ones have led.

We believe that families should take the time to learn more about “Have the Talk of a Lifetime.” Here at MacAlpine Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, we will do our best to serve your family as you honor your loved ones. We strive to provide the very best in funeral service, because we believe that every family deserves to have a memorable service unique to them. We work together as a team to ensure the families we serve feel that peace of mind.

The MacAlpine family has a long and proud history of serving other families and the community. That heritage continues through the services provided at MacAlpine Funeral Homes in Bad Axe and Kinde. Choice is an option at MacAlpine Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Whether it is an At-Need Service or a Pre-Arrangement, a wide array of burial and cremation packages, as well as After-Care Services, are available. We currently offer support services such as a Yoga Relief Class every Wednesday at 5:15 p.m., and we will reconvene our Group Grief Support, facilitated by Sharron Rutz utilizing “The New Day Journal” in May. These support groups are open to all denominations, and newcomers are welcome. We also help connect families to various grief support groups specializing in individual needs, as well as individual grief support professionals. For details about the support groups, please call our funeral home or view our website, www.macalpinefuneralhome.com.

We offer our website for the convenience of families and to provide extra service. Online, visitors can check obituary information, express condolences on the online guest book, order flowers, begin a pre-arrangement, find grief support information and much more.
